Hi, fabric lovers! I’m sure you’re wondering how we’re coming along as we set up your fabric playground. Believe it or not, A Cut Above Fabric LLC was incorporated back in August, and we’ve been pushing forward ever since.
If you’re here, you already know we’ve published a website. This is your place to stay up to date on the latest news. Starting the branding and web design process was one of the first tangible steps in creating A Cut Above. There’s nothing like seeing your brand come to life in colors and logos! I have so many goals for adding functionality and entertainment to the site, but you’ll have to stick around for that.
I’ve also been hard at work sourcing and ordering stock. Now, you may be thinking, “Ok, Mariena, we already know you love shopping for fabric. Surely this is the easiest part of the job?” You’re right, I’m having a lot of fun! My biggest challenge is making sure you all have the options you’ve been asking for. I can’t wait for you to see this gorgeous fabric! Keep scrolling for a little teaser.
The most surreal step toward opening has been our progress in securing a location for our store. The blueprints have been created, the meetings have been held, and the lease has been drafted! A Cut Above will be located in Bel Air Plaza on 120th and West Center Road! I’m so happy with this result. In addition to being a lovely area with plenty of parking, there’s also coffee, restaurants, and… a knitting store right next door!
Coming soon: building out our Instagram so I can start connecting with you!
That's all for now, but look out for updates soon.
P.S. Have entrepreneurial ambitions of your own? Our website was created in conjunction with Six Lemons LLC, a web design firm specializing in small-business websites. Thanks to Six Lemons, this process was painless, and the result speaks for itself! In addition to being a talented web designer, owner, Leah Busey, is also my beloved sister!
This gorgeous, floral flocked mesh stretch fabric in burgundy will be available in the Special Occasion section. After receiving the sample, I put several projects on hold to make this skirt - it's that pretty! Here, it's paired with a rose-colored satin fabric underneath (also available). I was off to my holiday party!
